Grand Funk Railroad concert

Published by mnemonic at 5:44 am under Other Stories Edit This

We attended a Grand Funk Railroad concert at Shea on July 9, 1971. Security was high, alcohol was confiscated. Our seats are at third base in the nosebleeds, maybe two rows from the top. We were told that 55,000 people attended. The stadium shook all for about four hours. Most of us were out of our seats dance, but those who were still sitting rebound at the top and bottom of the constant vibration of 55000 people jumping, dancing and applause. It was the best concert we have ever attended.
The centre-open field and a tank-type truck led the group in concert, which was located at the second goal. When the group left the truck, the crowd was wild and during the first song and most of the concert stage was literally swaying. He was a super concert. By the way, the cost of the ticket is $ 6 each for a total of $ 12! Proof of this is my ticket stub, which I have kept all these years.
